## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, HE HAD JUST RETURNED FROM VICTORIA, TEXAS, WHERE HE WAS PRACTICING INSTRUMENT APPROACHES IN PREPARATION FOR A MULTI-ENGINE ATP CHECK RIDE. DURING HIS VFR APPROACH INTO SINTON, TEXAS, HE NOTICED THAT THE LEFT BRAKE PEDAL WAS SOFT. HE PUMPED THE BRAKE SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL THE BRAKE SEEMED NORMAL. HE THOUGHT THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LANDED. HE INDICATED THAT HE MIGHT HAVE BEEN DISTRACTED WITH THE BRAKE CONDITION OVERLOOKING THE LANDING GEAR POSITION. HE STATED THAT HE WAS WEARING A HEADSET AND DOES NO REMEMBER HEARING THE GEAR WARNING HORN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
