## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 22, 2001, MR. LARRY D. WRIGHT OPERATED MOONEY-20-C, N9282M, ON A FLIGHT FROM LEE'S SUMMIT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI, TO ROOSTERVILLE AIRPORT, LIBERTY, MISSOURI, TO MEET HIS FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR FOR INSTRUMENT TRAINING. AT APPROXIMATELY 1445 CDT, WHILE APPROACHING RUNWAY 18 FOR A LANDING, MR. WRIGHT LANDED MOONEY N9282M WITH THE LANDING GEAR IN THE "UP" POSITION. MR. WRIGHT STATED THAT HE HAD COMPLETED THE LANDING CHECKLIST EARLY BECAUSE OF TURBULENT AIR CONDITIONS AND JUST FORGOT TO EXTEND THE GEAR BEFORE HE LANDED. A LANDING GEAR RETRACTION TEST WAS COMPLETED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE LANDING GEAR FUNCTIONED NORMALLY.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
