## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N4299L WAS RUNNING UP SHORT OF RUNWAY 28 ON TAXIWAY "B" AT OWD AND WAS NUMBER ONE FOR TAKEOFF. N4299L WAS BEING FLOWN BY A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AND STUDENT PILOT. N41983 WAS BEHIND N4199L ON TAXIWAY "B" AND NUMBER 2 FOR TAKEOFF. N41983 CALLED FOR TAKEOFF CLEARANCE AND WAS CLEARED TO TAKEOFF BY THE ATCT. N41983 THEN ATTEMPTED TO TAXI AROUND N4299L. THERE WAS NOT ADEQUATE ROOM ON THE TAXIWAY TO DO THIS WITHOUT OVERLAPPING THE WINGS OF THE TWO AIRCRAFT. THE OUTBOARD AILERON HINGE OF THE RIGHT WING OF N41983 DRAGGED ACROSS THE WING TIP CAP AND OUTER PORTION OF THE LEFT WING OF N4299L CAUSING A DEEP SCRATCH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
