## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ROLLING OUT AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT NOTICED IT TOOK MORE RUDDER TO CONTROL THE DIRECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT. AT THE INTERSECTION OF RUNWAYS 6 AND 31 AT LEHIGH VALLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ABE), ALLENTOWN, PA, THE PROPELLER SUDDENLY HIT THE GROUND. INVESTIGATION SHOWED THE BOLT HOLDING THE NOSE WHEEL AXLE ASSEMBLY WAS MISSING, ALLOWING THE AXLE TO SLIDE OUT ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE NOSE WHEEL TO COCK TO THE LEFT SIDE, ALLOWING THE PROPELLER TO HIT THE GROUND. DAMAGE WAS MINOR AND THER WERE NO INJURIES. THE FLIGHT WAS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER 14 CFR PART 141.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
