## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT APPROXIMATELY 3 P.M. ON SEPTEMBER 2 THE PILOT LANDED HIS AIRCRAFT AT MADISON COUNTY AIRPORT. AS THE PILOT TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM ENGINE COWLING, AND PROP. APPROXIMATELY 200 FEET BEHIND WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP, THERE WAS A 3" BOLT FOUND ON THE RUNWAY. THIS APPEARED TO BE THE BOLT THAT CAME FROM THE NOSE GEAR LINKAGE, (CAUSING THE COLLAPSE). THERE WAS NO NUT FOUND AND THE COTTER PIN HAD BEEN REPORTED AS BEING SHEARED OFF IN THE BOLT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
