## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT HAD COMPLETED A MILITARY STYLE OVERHEAD BREAKK OVER THE THRESHOLD FROM FORMATION FLYING. THE PILOT EXECUTED THE "GUMPS" CHECK AND ASSUMED THE GEAR WAS DOWN. THE LANDING PHASE WAS DONE AT A HIGHER POWER SETTING, THEREFORE THE LIGHT IN THE GEAR HANDLE DID NOT ILLUMINATE NOR DID THE HORN SOUND UNTIL THE FLARE, WHEN POWER WAS REDUCED. THE MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCE WAS THE PILOT WAS DISTRACTED WITH THE HIGH INTENSITY OF THE RUNWAY LIGHTS WITH MIST ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE TEAM MODIFIED A PROCEDURE SO EVERY OTHER PILOT CALLS GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
