## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS PERFORMING HIGH SPEED TAXI RUNS LIFTING OFF RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 20 FT. AGL TO GET A FEEL OF THE CONTROLS ON HIS EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT, THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT SETTLE DOWN TO THE RUNWAY ON HIS LAST PRACTICE HIGH SPEED TAXI. THE AIRCRAFT DID SETTLE INTO RUNWAY WITH ABOUT 400 FT. LEFT TILL THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED HE USED ALL 400 FT. AND BRAKED THE AIRCRAFT PAST THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO SOME GRASS. THE RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE JUST OUTBOARD OF THE WING ATTACH POINTS CONTACTED A SMALL BUSH THAT CREATED MINOR LEADING DAMAGE TO THE FOAM AND COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WING. THE DAMAGE DID NOT EXTEND INTO STRUCTURAL SPAR OF THE WING. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
