## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 09/22/2001, N30187 WAS FLOWN FROM SCHENECTADY COUNTY AIRPORT TO SARATOGA COUNTY AIRPORT WITHOUT INCIDENT. ON THE RETURN FLIGHT TO SCHENECTADY COUNTY AIRPORT THE ENGINE STARTED TO RUN ROUGH AND THE PILOT MADE THE DECISION TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT IN A FARM FIELD. ON LANDING THE PROPELLER STRUCK A DIRT MOUND WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. AFTER INSPECTION, WATER WAS FOUND IN THE FUEL LINE. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
