## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT HAD COMPLETED A LANDING AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN 3 POINT TAXI POSITION PREPARING TO CLEAR THE RUNWAY WHEN WINDSHEAR FROM THE REAR OF THE AIRCRAFT LIFTED IT OFF THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE TARMAC WHEN SECOND STRONGER BLAST LIFTED THE AIRCRAFT UP AGAIN, POINTING IT NOSE DOWN, WITH THE LEFT WING LOW. THE AIRCRAFT SLAMMED BACK TO THE TARMAC BENDING THE LEFT GEAR BACK AND UNDER THE FUSELAGE. THIS AND OTHER RESULTING DAMAGE INCURRED WAS SUBSTANTIAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA01LA174](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA01LA174), Sep 26, 2001: Cessna 180 (N224H), Grangeville, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate compensation for wind conditions. A factor was variable winds.

## Other reports on N224H (1)

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
