## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED SMOKE IN COCKPIT DURING CLIMB OUT FROM BHB AT 5000 FT. THE PILOT NOTICED A SLIGHT ODOR AND CONTINUED TO CLIMB. AT APPROXIMATELY 65OO FT. THE PILOT TURNED HIS HEAD TO THE REAR AND NOTICED A HAZE IN CABIN. F/O OBTAINED CLEARANCE BACK TO BHB AND A RAPID DESCENT WAS MADE BACK TO BHB. LEVEL OF ODOR DIMINISHED WITH THE THROTTLE REDUCTION. LANDING WAS MADE WITHOUT INCIDENT. SOURCE OF SMOKE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
