## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE SKYDIVER WAS IN A VIOLENT SPIN AFTER THE MAIN CANOPY DEPLOYED. THE SKYDIVER CUT AWAY THE MAIN CANOPY AND THE RESERVE STATIC LINE (RSL) AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYED THE RESERVE CANOPY. THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE RESERVE CANOPY, DURING THE SPIN CAUSED THE RESERVE BRIDLE TO GET ENTANGLED AROUND THE SKYDIVER AND NOT ALLOWING THE RESERVE CANOPY TO DEPLOY. POST ACCIDENT REVEALED A BROKEN C-D CASCADE LINE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CANOPY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
