(-23) WHILE ON A BIANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW, AT APPROXIMATELY 2000 FT. ON CLIMB OUT, THE LEFT ENGINE STARTED TO SHAKE AND SHORTLY AFTER QUIT. THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AT THIS TIME ADDED POWER TO THE RIGHT ENGINE AND VOCALIZED THAT HE WOULD GET THE ENGINE FAILURE CHECK LIST. AT THAT TIME THE PILOT WAS MANIPULATING THE CONTROLS. AS THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WAS REACHING DOWN TO OBTAIN THE EMERGENCY CHECKLIST, THE PILOT DEPRESSED THE RIGHT ENGINE FEATHER BUTTON AND THE RIGHT ENGINE SUBSEQUENTLY FEATHERED. IN THE CONFUSION THE PILOT ADMITS TO FEATHERING THE WRONG ENGINE. FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR TOOK CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND INSTRUCTED THE PILOT TO RE-START THE RIGHT ENGINE (ENGINE START CONTROLS ON PILOT SIDE OF AIRCRAFT). TWO ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE ENGINE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. AIRCRAFT MADE AN UNSUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY LANDING ON A GOLF COURSE DRIVING RANGE. PILOT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR RECEIVED MINOR FACIAL CUTS. LEFT ENGINE TEAR DOWN INSPECTION PENDING.
