## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 10/30/01, ZENAIR CH2000 MODEL AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION NUMBER N92296 BOUNCED SEVERAL TIMES DURING LANDING, BENDING THE NOSE GEAR BACKWARDS AND DAMAGING THE PROPELLER ON RUNWAY 32 AT THE DELAWARE COUNTY-JOHNSON FIELD AIRPORT IN MUNCIE, INDIANA. THE STUDENT PILOT HAD PROBLEMS ON HIS FIRST LANDING ATTEMPT AND WENT AROUND. ON THE SECOND LANDING HE BOUNCED 3 TO 4 TIMES AND DID NOT APPLY ENOUGH POWER TO RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT, DROPPING THE NOSE RESULTING IN THE NOSE GEAR BENT BACKWARDS AND THE PROPELLER HITTING THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WAS NOT HURT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
