## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ON THE TAKE-OFF RUN, JUST PRIOR TO ROTATION SPEED, THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED. THE LEFT AND RIGHT ENGINE PROPELLERS STRUCK THE RUNWAY SURFACE WITH BOTH ENGINES AT TAKE-OFF POWER. THE AIRCRAFT SLID TO A STOP REMAINING ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE. THE MAIN LANDING GEAR DID NOT COLLAPSE, AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR PASSENGER. DURING AN INTERVIEW, THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY, HE NOTICED THE GEAR HANDLE WAS IN THE "UP" POSITION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
