## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN STATED THAT WHEN HE LAST FILLED THE AIRCRAFT HE HAD INITALLY ORDERED HALF TANKS. HE THEN CHANGED THE ORDER TO FULL TANKS. THE LINEMAN DID NOT HEAR THIS REVISED ORDER. AIRMAN DID NOT CHECK FUEL RECEIPT, DID NOT VISUALLY CHECK TANKS AND THOUGHT HIS FUEL GAUGES WERE WRONG. SINCE HE THOUGHT HE HAD TWICE AS MUCH FUEL AS HE DID, HE SUBSEQUENTLY RAN OUT OF FUEL AND LANDED ON THE BEACH AT PASS CHRISTIAN. WITH ASSISTANCE OF LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT THE AIRCRAFT WAS FUELED WITH 12 GALLONS OF GAS. THE HIGHWAY NEXT TO THE BEACH WAS THEN CLOSED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE AIRMAN MADE A SOLO TAKEOFF AND FLEW TO GPT FOR RE-FUELING. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
