## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT TAXIING NORTH ALONG A MARKES TAXI LINE IN A NON-MOVEMENT AREA. WEATHER WAS FOG AND RAIN, THERE WAS A LARGE AIRCRAFT PARKED TO THE WEST OF THE TAXI LINE AND AN ONCOMING AIRPORT SECURITY VEHICLE APPROACHING FROM THE NORTH. A HELICOPTER PLATFORM WAS PARKED JUST OFF THE TAXI LINE, TO THE EAST. DUE TO THE ONCOMING VEHICLE LIGHTS AND AVOIDANCE OF THE PARKED LARGE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT DID NOT SEE THE PLATFORM. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE PLATFORM WITH THE NOSE WHEEL AND RIGHT ENGINE PROPELLER, CAUSING SUDDEN STOPPAGE TO THE RIGHT ENGINE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
