## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) FLIGHT FROM WINSLOW, AZ TO NEEDLES, CA. AT SEDONA, AZ, @ 11,000', AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED ICING CONDITIONS. THE FLIGHT WAS DIVERTED TO PRESCOTT, AZ WHERE THE PILOT RECEIVED A CLEARANCE FOR AN INSTRUMENT APPROACH. AT 9,000 OVER THE DRAKE VOR THE PILOT "BROKE OUT" OF IMC AND PROCEEDED TO THE FIGLO VISUALLY. ON SHORT FINAL, AT 30'-50' AGL, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED WINDSHEAR AND LANDED HARD ON THE RUNWAY. THIS DAMAGED THE MAIN AND NOSE LANDING GEAR AND ALLOWING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
