## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N819GY, ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL SABRELINER, NA-265-80, LOST THE LEFT ENGINE THRUST REVERSER AFTER LANDING BOSTON RUNWAY 04L AT 2019 EST, 12/9/01. THE THRUST REVERSER DETACHED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND WAS FOUND ON RUNWAY 04L. RUNWAY O4L WAS CLOSED FROM 2027 EST TO 2036 EST WHILE AIRPORT PERSONNEL CLEANED THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO AIR TRAFFIC. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. AS THE THRUST REVERSER SEPARATED FROM THE ENGINE, IT PUNCTURED THE AIRCRAFT'S FUSELAGE AFT OF THE ENGINE, SLICING A RIB AND STRINGER IN A NON-PRESSURIZED AREA. A SABRELINER MECHANIC REPLACED THE L/H THRUST REVERSER, AND MADE A TEMPORARY REPAIR TO THE AFFECTED RIB, AND STRINGER. THIS OFFICE ISSUED A FERRY PERMIT TO FLY THE AIRCRAFT FROM BOSTON (BOS) TO PERRYVILLE MUNICIPAL (K02) AIRPORT IN MISSOURI. THE AIRCRAFT WILL BE REPAIRED AT THE ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL SABRELINER FACILITY IN PERRYVILLE MISSOURI. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE NTSB HAS DETERMINED THAT THIS WILL BE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE DAMAGE TO THE TEAR IN THE FUSELAGE SKIN, RIB, AND STRINGER. THE A/C WAS CONDUCTING A 135 OPERATION, WITH ONE PASSENGER ON BOARD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
