## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FLIGHT CREW ELECTED TO DIVERT TO PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. AN ENVIRONMENTAL (RAIN) SEAL WAS FOUND MISSING FROM THE LEFT WINDSHIELD. NOTE: AIRCRAFT PRESSURIZATION WAS NOT EFFECTED. COMPANY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL (EATON LEASING CORP.) AND LEAR JET TECHNICAL PERSONNEL EVALUATED THE WINDSHIELD; IT WAS DECIDED TO CHANGE THE WINDSHIELD DURING THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SEAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE 3 DAYS LATER. THE CHIEF OF MAINTENANCE WILL SEND IN A MAINTENANCE DIFFICULTY REPORT (M OR D). SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
