## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) EXPRESS ONE FLIGHT 1430 RETURNED TO OMAHA AFTER DEPARTURE. THE PILOT REPORTED TO MAINTENANCE THAT THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE HAD A COMPRESSOR STALL AFTER TAKEOFF, AND THEY RECEIVED AN OVERHEAT INDICATOR FOR THE NUMBER TWO ENGINE. THE ENGINE SHUT ITSELF DOWN. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND RETURNED TO OMAHA. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NUMBER TWO SPINNER SEPARATED FROM THE CASE AND DAMAGE TO THE N1.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
