## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED THAT DURING LANDING AT FALCON FIELD AT MESA, AZ, THAT THE NOSE LANDING GEAR DIDN'T EXTEND. PILOT SAID THAT HE TRIED TO GET THE GEAR TO EXTEND BY PERFORMING SEVERAL DIFFERENT FLIGHT MANEUVERS. THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY LANDING AND MADE A LANDING WITH THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED. DURING INSPECTION OF NOSE LANDING GEAR, FOUND THE TOP GEAR ACTUATOR RETAINING PIN HAD SHEARED AND JAMMED THE GEAR, PREVENTING GEAR EXTENSION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
