## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) COMPANY REPORTED THAT WHILE ON SHORT FINAL TO RUNWAY 01 IN VFR CONDITIONS, THE PILOT CONTROLLED RUNWAY LIGHTS WENT OUT. THE FIRST OFFICER, WHO WAS FLYING THE AIRCRAFT, KEYED THE LIGHTS BACK ON BUT WAS DISTRACTED TRYING TO THEN REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF THE LIGHTS FOR THE LANDING, AND HE ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO DESCEND BELOW THE GLIDESLOPE. THE CAPTAIN WAS DISTRACTED BY A NONESSENTIAL COMPANY RADIO CALL ON SHORT FINAL, AND RECOGNIZED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOO LOW AND ADDED POWER TOO LATE TO STOP THE DESCENT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON THE PAVED THRESHOLD OF THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK THE RUNWAY END LIGHTS RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
