## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N498SD WAS PART OF A FLIGHT OF 8 WAR BIRDS THAT FLEW ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM PARKER, AZ TO CHINO, CA. UPON THEIR ARRIVAL AT CNO, FOUR AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 26R AND FOUR AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 26L. AS THE PILOT OF 498SD WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 26L, HE ADMITTED TO BEING DISTRACTED BY THE OTHER LANDING AIRCRAFT WHILE HIS AIRCRAFT WAS TOUCHING DOWN ON THE RUNWAY. N498SD LANDED TAIL HIGH WHICH CAUSED THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE RUNWAY AS IT WAS ROLLING OUT. N498SD WAS INSPECTED BY IA ROBERT NIGHTINGALE AFTER THIS INCIDENT. THE RESULTS OF THIS INSPECTION INDICATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT HAD MINOR DAMAGE TO THE NOSE CASE AND NOSE BOWL OF THE PROPELLER AND THAT N498SD HAD NOT SUSTAINED ANY STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. THE PILOT WAS COUNSELED. NO FURTHER ACTION BY THIS OFFICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
