## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH 14,000 FT, 20 MILES NE OF SNS CREW HEARD A LOUD BANG AND A SLIGHT SHUTTER IN THE AIRCRAFT. THE CREW THEN REDUCED POWER AND RETURNED FOR LANDING AT MRY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN INSPECTED INSIDE AND OUT BY CREW AND A COMPANY MECHANIC. ALL SYSTEMS OPERATIONALLY CHECKED GOOD AND NO DAMAGE COULD BE FOUND TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE CREW DECIDED TO SPEND THE NIGHT AND RETURN TO HOME BASE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THAT FLIGHT WAS UNEVENTFUL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
