## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 02FEB2002 AT 1459E CHAUTAUQUA AIRLINES FLIGHT #4241 RETURNED TO PIT DUE TO THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT OR ASSISTANCE. THE LANDING GEAR WAS INSPECTED (MAIN AND NOSE) WITH NO DEFECTS FOUND. THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN FERRIED TO IND WHERE THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL VALVE WAS FOUND FAULTY AND WAS REPLACED. THIS INCIDENT WAS INVESTIGATED BY DESK AUDIT AND CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
