## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. ZACCARIA, THE PILOT OF N200VL, STATED THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING TESTED THE DAY AFTER THE LANDING GEAR HAD BEEN WORKED ON. WHEN THE GEAR WAS EXTENDED FOR LANDING AT SJC, THE LEFT MAIN GEAR DOWN LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. HE RECYCLED THE LANDING AND USED THE EMERGENCY EXTENSION TO ASSURE THE GEAR WAS DOWN. HE LANDED WITH NO PROBLEMS. MAINTENANCE CHECKED THE LANDING GEAR SYSTEM AND FOUND THE LEFT DOWN LAMP WAS BURNT OUT. THE LAMP WAS REPLACED AND CHECKED OUT TO BE OPERATIONAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
