## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N762NW DC9-41, BEING OPERATED AS NORTHWEST AIRLINE FLIGHT 1817, FROM MEMPHIS, TN, TO OMAHA, NE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY INBOUND TO OMAHA DUE TO A SLAT CONFIGURATION PROBLEM. THE CREW RECEIVED SLAT DISAGREEMENT LIGHTS AND THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED TO THE LEFT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. CONTRACT MAINTENANCE LUBRICATED THE TELESCOPING ANTI-ICE DUCTS (T DUCTS). THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO MINNEAPOLIS. THE PROBLEM RECURRED ON APPROACH TO MINNEAPOLIS. THE AIRCRAFT WENT INTO MAINTENANCE TO CHECK THE RIGGING AND RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
