## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT DURING ROLLOUT OF THIS "TOUCH N'GO", THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT ALSO STATED THAT HE "APPLIED FULL LEFT RUDDER AND BRAKE, TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL." DESPITE THIS, THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED IN A TIGHT ARC TO THE RIGHT, AS THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE RUNWAY, IT PIVOTED HARD TO THE RIGHT, THEN TIPPING, AND CAUSING THE LEFT WING AND ELEVATOR TO CONTACT THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED WITH THE NOSE POINTING TOWARD, AND ABOUT 10' OFF THE RUNWAY. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE RIGHT MAIN TIRE WAS FOUND TO BE DEFLATED AND HAD A CUT APPROXIMATELY 2" LONG IN THE OUTBOARD SIDEWALL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB NYC02LA058](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/NYC02LA058), Feb 9, 2002: Piper PA-20 (N2254A), Fremont, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: Damage to the right tire, which resulted in a sudden loss of tire pressure and a loss of directional control.

## Other reports on N2254A (1)

- [Incident 19901118058409I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19901118058409I), Nov 18, 1990: Piper PA20135 (N2254A), Carson City, NV, Minor damage. Engine failure. Forced landing on dry lake bed. Aircraft rolled into mud and nosed over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
