## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER DEPARTING THE COLUMBUS METROPOLITAN AIRPORT (CSG), AND AFTER FLHING FOR ABOUT 12 NM NORTHEAST OF CSG, MR. JONES, THE PILOT, MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A PRIVATELY OWNED PASTURE DUE TO A ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO OPERATE UNTIL IT WAS SHUT DOWN AFTER THE LANDING ROLL-OUT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE OR OTHER PROPERTY. ADVISED MR. JONES TO HAVE AN FAA CERTIFICATED MECHANIC INSPECT THE ENGINE BEFORE THE NEXT FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
