(-23) OPERATING ON A PART 91 PLEASURE FLIGHT FROM MEXICO, THE PIC WAS CLEARED FOR LANDING AT SAN DIEGO BROWN FIELD AIRPORT (KSDM). UPON LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY SURFACE WITH THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED. THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY SURFACE SEVERAL TIMES AT LOW POWER, AND THE AIRCRAFT SLID APPROXIMATELY 200 YARDS TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. DAMAGE WAS NOTE ON THE PROPELLER, NOSE LANDING GEAR DOORS, LOWER FUSELAGE SURFACE AND WING FLAPS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE SOLE OCCUPANT. POST INCIDENT INSPECTION FOUND THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE IN THE "UP" POSITION. PIC INDICATED THAT HE DID NOT REPOSITION CONTROLS PRIOR TO EXITING THE A/C.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
