## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF MANIFOLD PRESSURE TO THE LEFT ENGINE. OBSERVED THICK WHITE SMOKE TRAILING FROM THE LEFT ENGINE. OIL PRESSURE WAS FLUCTUATING BETWEEN 0-10 PSI (NORMAL MIN. 25 PSI). SECURED THE LEFT ENGINE AND LANDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER EVENTS. FINDING: THE LEFT ENGINE TURBOCHARGER SHEERED THE SHAFT. THIS CAUSED THE LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. COMMERCIAL FLYER, INC. MECHANIC HAS SUBMITTED A FAA FORM 8010-4 MALFUNCTION OR DEFECT REPORT DOCUMENTING THIS MALFUNCTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
