## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE LANDING PHASE THE LANDING GEAR WARNING LIGHTS INDICATED AMBER. PILOT NOTIFIED THE TOWER CONTROLLER AND REQUESTED A DEPARTURE FROM THE PATTERN TO AN AREA WHERE HE COULD TROUBLE SHOOT THE SYSTEM. NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO RE-CYCLE THE GEARS FAILED. WITH THE LANDING GEAR SELECTOR IN THE DOWN POSITION THE PILOT REQUESTED A FLY-BY TO VERIFY THE GEARS DOWN, THE CONTROLLER VERIFIED THAT THE GEAR WAS PARTIALLY DOWN. THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND IN THAT CONDITION. DURING THE LANDING THE PARTIALLY DOWN LANDING GEARS COLLAPSED AND MINOR DAMAGES SUSTAINED TO THE PROPELLERS AND BOTTOM OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
