## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT HAD JUST LANDED AT CALDWELL AIRPORT (EUL) AND WAS TAXIING BETWEEN PARALLEL RUNWAYS WHEN A GUST OF WIND CAUGHT THE AIRCRAFT AND FLIPPED IT OVER ON ITS BACK. BOTH LOWER EMPENNAGE LONGERON'S WERE SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED AS WELL AS BOTH WING STRUTS. WIND DIRECTION WAS 140 AND GUSTING 26-34.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA02LA052](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA02LA052), Mar 9, 2002: Skystar Kitfox Lite Squared (N211TE), Caldwell, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to adequately compensate for the wind conditions. High and gusting winds were a factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
