## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER AIRCRAFT ARRIVED AT THE GATE FLIGHT ATTENDENT ATTEMPTED TO OPEN PASSENGER DOOR BUT COULD NOT. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BY THE CREW FROM THE OUTSIDE IT WAS DECIDED TO EXIT THE PASSENGERS THROUGH THE REAR EMERGENCY EXIT AND THE AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED ONCE THE BAGGAGE WAS REMOVED FROM THE EXIT IN THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT. AFTER A COUPLE OF ATTEMPTS MAINTENANCE WAS ABLE TO RELEASE AND OPEN THE DOOR. THE INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE RIGHT HAND CAM BLOCK P/N 14152018-159 MAY HAVE BEEN WORN BEYOND LIMITS CAUSING THE DOOR LATCH NOT TO WORK PROPERLY. THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
