## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 23, 2002, AT APPROXIMATELY 1741 MST, SKYWEST (SWIA) FLIGHT #3964, A CL-600-2B19, N405SW, ENROUTE FROM MSP-SLC, SUSTAINED A LEFT WING TIP STRIKE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 16L AT SALT LAKE CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SLC). THE CURRENT ATIS INDICATED THE WINDS WERE FROM 250 DEGREES AT 22 KNOTS GUSTING TO 33 KNOTS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING TIP. THIS IS FINAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
