## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 04-06-2002, MOONEY, N444DJ, WAS PREPARING TO LAND ON RUNWAY NINE LEFT AT LAKELAND LINDER REGIONAL AIRPORT, LAKELAND, FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ATTENDING THE SUN 'N FUN FLY-IN. ATC DIRECTED N444DJ TO GO AROUND, DUE TO TRAFFIC ON THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT OF N444DJ PERFORMED THE GO AROUND, TO INCLUDE RETRACTING THE LANDING GEAR. ATC DIRECTED 444DJ TO CHANGE TO RUNWAY NINE RIGHT AND TO SWITCH FREQUENCIES. THE PILOT OF N444DJ SWITCHED FREQUENCIES, AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO SEQUENCE IN BETWEEN TWO WARBIRDS, AND TO KEEP HIS SPEED UP. THE PILOT OF N444DJ COMPLIED WITH THE INSTRUCTION FROM ATC, BUT WITH THE VARIOUS DISTRACTIONS, FAILED TO PUT THE LANDING GEAR BACK DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE, AND NO ONE ABOARD THE AIRCRAFT WAS INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
