## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE LANDING, A DEER WAS SPOTTED ON THE RUNWAY, AND THE PILOT, DANIEL GARRIQUES, ELECTED TO GO AROUND. AFTER POWER WAS APPLIED, THE DEER IMPACTED THE LEFT FLAP AND STABILIZER. DURING THE CLIMB OUT, PITCH CONTROL WAS MAINTAINED BY TRIM AS THE YOKE DID NOT CONTROL THE STABILATOR. THE PILOT NOTIFIED RICHMOND APPROACH OF THE INCIDENT AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. RICHMOND APPROACH DISPATCHED RESCUE, AND THE DEER WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE STABILATOR AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT LOUISA COUNTY AIRPORT (LKU). THE IMPACT OF THE DEER CAUSED THE LEFT UPPER ATTACH POINT OF THE TAIL CONE TO BE MOVED AFT. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE RIGHT AFT FUSELAGE SKIN AREA TO BE COMPRESSED INWARD. THE RIGHT STABILATOR HINGE FITTING IS BUCKLED INWARD.
