(-23) ON 4/9/02 THE PIC HAD COMPLETED A FLIGHT REVIEW RENEWAL WITH A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR. THE PIC TAXIED TO THE RAMP AREA AND PARKED THE AIRCRAFT. COMPLETING THE POST FLIGHT BRIEFING THE PIC ALONE STARTED HIS AIRCRAFT FOR THE RETURN FLIGHT TO HIS HOME IN EUGENE, OR. STARTING THE TAXI ROLL THE PIC'S ATTENTION WAS DRAWN TO A PASSING CESSNA 182 TO HIS RIGHT. THE PIC NEVER STOPPED HIS AIRCRAFT. THE PIC, UNABLE TO SEE OVER THE NOSE TO ASSURE A CLEAR PATH IN FRONT, TAXIED INTO A CESSNA 150 PARKED AND TIED DOWN IN THE RAMP PARKING AREA. THE CESSNA 150 AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED. THE HARVARD MK IV SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROP AREA. THE PIC THEN STOPPED HIS AIRPLANE TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE. IN 1986 THE PIC WAS INVOLVED IN A LIKE INCIDENT. COUNSELING OF THE PIC WAS COMPLETED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ .

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
