## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) STUDENT PILOT WAS CONDUCTING A SOLO FLIGHT IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN. THE STUDENT STATED HE WAS ON SHORT FINAL, FULL FLAPS AT APPROXIMATELY 60 TO 65 KIAS. INVESTIGATION INDICATES THE PILOT ALLOWED THE AIRSPEED TO DISSIPATE TO THE POINT AT WHICH THE AIRCRAFT STALLED. THE PILOT STATED THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO ROLL LEFT AND HE COULD NOT RECOVER THE AIRCRAFT WITH RIGHT AILERON. HE THEN STATED HE ADDED SOME POWER, BUT IT CONTINUED TO ROLL TO THE LEFT.(ADDING POWER WITHOUT ANY OTHER CORRECTIVE ACTION WOULD HAVE AGGRAVATED THE ROLL TO THE LEFT). THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND, FOLLOWED BY THE NOSE, THEN CARTWHEELED TO THE RIGHT WING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE SOD AREA TO THE LEFT OF RUNWAY 31 AT THE COUNCIL BLUFF'S AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
