(.19) ON MAY 4, 2002, APPROXIMATELY 1345 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME, A BOEING STEARMAN, A75SN1, SINGLE-ENGINE AIRPLANE, N5805V, STRUCK POWER LINES, TREES, AND A RESIDENCE FOLLOWING A LOSS OF ALTITUDE DURING TAKEOFF/INITIAL CLIMB FROM THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, NEAR GEORGETOWN, TEXAS. THE AIRPLANE WAS OWNED AND OPERATED BY A PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL UNDER 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91. THE AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT AND THE PASSENGER RATED PILOT/OWNER WERE NOT INJURED. ## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
