## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) SCOTT NEISLER PILOTED MOONEY M20 N5747V FROM CLT TO EHO AND ON LANDING DID NOT LOWER THE LANDING GEAR, SUBSEQUENTLY LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE GEAR UP CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT BELLY PLATE, NOSE GEAR DOORS, PROPELLER AND ENGINE. MR. NEISLER STATED THAT CLT ATC KEPT HIM HIGH (3500') UNTIL ALMOST IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN ON LEFT DOWN WIND AT SHELBY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, THIS DISTRACTED HIS ATTENTION AND HE DID NOT USE THE CHECK LIST AND "FORGOT" TO LOWER THE GEAR. HE WAS REMORSE AND APOLOGETIC FOR HIS ACTIONS, AND SAID THAT IN THE PAST HE WAS ALWAYS CAREFUL TO USE THE CHECK LIST WHILE FLYING. JBP SPOKE WITH TONY CONNER AT FIRST RIVER AVIATION, SHELBY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. TONY SAID THAT HE WAS AT THE SCENE AT 1230 AM MAY 8 AFTER MOONEY (M20) N5747V LANDED WITH THE LANDING GEAR UP; THE AIRCRAFT WAS PILOTED BY SCOTT NEISLER.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
