## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. DAVIS THE PILOT OF N4104V, A CESSNA 170 WOULD NOT COOPERATE WITH FAA AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTORS IN PROVIDING ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THIS INCIDENT. AN INSPECTION OF N4104V REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND TAILWHEEL ASSEMBLY. WITNESS STATEMENTS DESCRIBE THAT MR. DAVIS HAD ABORTED A TAKEOFF AND DAMAGED THE AIRPLANE AS A RESULT OF A HARD LANDING. THE MCGEE AIRSTRIP IS A 2,450 FOOT GRASS RUNWAY MAINTAINED BY THE USFS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
