## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) I SPOKE WITH THE PILOT WHO STATED THAT THE LANDING AND THE BEGINNING OF THE ROLL OUT WAS UNEVENTFUL. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED DOWN TO 15 MPH, IT MADE A HARD LEFT TURN. HE APPLIED FULL RIGHT BRAKE AND REGAINED CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT. AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE RIGHT WHEEL CONTACTED A BURM ON THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING TIP, RIGHT AILERON AND RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AND THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE PILOT HAD USED THE PARKING BRAKES PRIOR TO TAKE OFF. FROM EXPERIENCE, THE TYPE OF MECHANICAL PARKING BRAKES INSTALLED IN THE MAULE HAS A HISTORY OF NOT COMPLETELY RELEASING EVEN WHEN RELEASING USING NORMAL PROCEDURES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
