## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) OPERATOR WAS FLYING OVER A FIELD WHEN HE NOTICED THE AIRCRAFT LOSING POWER. MR. EWING THEN ADVANCED THE THROTTLE MORE AND NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE POWER DID NOT INCREASE. MR. EWING, AFTER NOTICING THE AIRCRAFT NOT RESPONDING, IMMEDIATELY DUMPED HIS LOAD OF FERTILIZER AND BEGAN HIS EMERGENCY LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED GROUND ON BOTH MAINS IN A SATURATED RICE FIELD FOR 125' TO A 1' TALL HUMP. THE AIRCRAFT LIFTED OFF THE GROUND FOR 20' AND TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN, BURYING BOTH MAINS, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO NOSE OVER AND ENGINE TO CONTACT THE GROUND FOR 36', FLIPPING THE AIRCRAFT INVERTED.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
