## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AMERICAN EAGLE FLIGHT 4836, A SF340B, LANDED ON RUNWAY 28L AT 1548E WITH THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE SHUT DOWN FOR UNKNOWN REASONS. INVESTIGATION OF FLIGHT 4836 OF SIMA AIRLINES REVEALED THAT THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN DUE TO LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE. IT WAS DETERMINED BY ZACK WYANT, QUALITY CONTROL MAINTENANCE AT SIMA, THAT THE BB AXIX SEAL FAILED ON THE NUMBER ONE ENGINE RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF OIL. A NEW ENGINE WILL BE INSTALLED AS A RESULT OF THIS FAILURE. SUBMISSION OF THIS REPORT CLOSES THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
