## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS BEING USED FOR STUDENT PILOT INSTRUCTION. ON ROLLOUT AFTER LANDING AND WHILE STILL ON RUNWAY 22R, STUDENT BEGAN BRAKING TO TURN OFF AT TAXIWAY BRAVO. INSTRUCTOR TOLD STUDENT TO LET OFF THE BRAKES AND ALLOW THE AIRCRAFT TO COAST TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY. BOTH STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO VEER TO THE RIGHT. THEY ALSO STATED THAT NO AMOUNT OF LEFT RUDDER OR LEFT BRAKE WOULD STOP VEERING THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AND RAN OVER THE RUNWAY REMAINING SIGN AND TAXIWAY BRAVO SIGN, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER AND ENGINE COWLING. AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIED TO THE FBO UNDER ITS OWN POWER. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT FOUND A FLAT SPOT ON THE RIGHT MAIN TIRE BESIDE THE COWL AND PROPELLER. THE BRAKES FUNCTIONED NORMALLY AND THE PILOT/INSTRUCTOR REPORTED NO DIFFICULTY TAXIING TO THE FBO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
