## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED EVERGREEN AIRPARK (59S) ENROUTE TO GREEN MOUNTAIN (WA67) APPROXIMATELY 6 MINUTES FLIGHT TIME. ON ARRIVAL THE PILOT OBSERVED LIGHT WINDS AS INDICATED BY THE WIND SOCK AND LIGHT RAIN. THE 2000 FOOT RUNWAY HAD WET SURFACE. THE PILOT BELIEVES HE TOUCHED DOWN WITHIN THE FIRST 500 FEET OF THE RUNWAY BUT DUE TO THE WET SURFACE THE BRAKES WERE NOT EFFECTIVE AND THE AIRCRAFT COULD NOT BE STOPPED WITHIN THE REMAINING 1500 FEET. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND COLLIDED WITH A FENCE POST.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA02LA086](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA02LA086), May 28, 2002: Grumman American AA-5A (N26221), Vancouver, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's delayed remedial action during the landing sequence. Factors include a wet runway surface.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
