(-23) AIRCRAFT IN LEVEL FLIGHT AT 9000 FEET ENROUTE FROM BISMARCK, ND TO NEW ULM, MN AT 10 NORTH OF WATERTOWN, SOUTH DAKOTA. A BANG WAS HEARD BY PILOT AND ENGINE POWER WAS LOST. EMERGENCY LANDING MAKE AT MILBANK WITHOUT DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT. VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED #4 CYLINDER CONNECTING ROD HAD BROKE. FURTHER TEARDOWN REQUESTED BY LYCOMING.
