## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MAY 30, 2002, AFTER DEPARTING ST. LOUIS, MO, LAMBERT AIRPORT (STL), ON A REVENUE FLIGHT TO CHAMPAIGN, IL, THE FLIGHT CREW WAS NOTIFIED BY THE ST. LOUIS TOWER THAT A PART OF A TIRE TREAD HAD CAME OFF THE AIRCRAFT. THE PIC NOTED NO PROBLEM WITH THE AIRCRAFT AND CONTINUED THE FLIGHT TO CHAMPAIGN, IL (CMI). UPON ARRIVAL AT CMI THE CREW ASKED FOR THE EQUIPMENT TO STANDBY. A NORMAL LANDING WAS MADE AND THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE TERMINAL AND DEPLANED 15 PASSENGERS AND THE 3 CREW WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
