## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N26GP WAS EASTBOUND AT FL370. THE PILOT REQUESTED A LOWER ALTITUDE AND CENTER ADVISED OF TRAFFIC AND HAD HIS REQUEST FOR THE LOWER ALTITUDE. AT ABOUT 19 SECONDS LATER THE CONTROLLER ASKED N26GP IF THEY WERE DESCENDING AND THE PILOT RESPONDED AFFIRMATIVE AND NEEDED LOWER NOW. CENTER ASKED THE NATURE OF N26GP'S DISTRESS. THE PILOT SAID THAT THEY HAD A CABIN ALTITUDE ALERT AND NEEDED TO GO DOWN. N26GP LEVELED OFF AT FL330 AND THE PRESSURIZATION HAD STABILIZED. THE CLOSEST TRAFFIC PROXIMITY WAS 4.47NM AND 600 FEET.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
